February 2013 Meeting Notice

On February 19th, 2013 the Korean War Veterans Association, Chapter 189 will hold its monthly Meeting at the John E. Mealy Memorial VFW Post in Port Orange, Florida.

Members arriving for lunch can arrive at 12:00 and choose their meal from the VFW Bar Menu, and socialize during the meal. The regular KWVA Business Meeting will begin at 1:00 PM.

The speaker for the meeting will be Pastor Pyung Ok Hur, the Senior Pastor at the Korean Baptist Church located at 400 Silver Beach Avenue in Daytona Beach. Rev. Hur will adress the Korean Veterans and discuss the transition of local Korean Nationals to the The United States, their motivation and successes as a community. The local Korean Americans now number around 1200 in Volusia County. The Rev Hur will be accompanied by his wife and son and other Korean Americans have been invited to this joint meeting of mutual friendship and gratitude.
