  • During a portion of 2013  Chapter 189 maintained our Korean War Museum Exhibit at the New Smyrna Beach Museum.  The feedback from the exhibit was wonderful as the Korean War has faded into obscurity for many and its presence has never been illuminated to the younger generation.  The Chapter has recently been asked to put the exhibit back to together for public display.  We are currently informally talking with representatives from several venues and you might see the exhibit up and running again in 2015. to reuse the exhibit space for their Christmas Displays. If you had donated items to the museum display,
  •  At the November Meeting a complete slate of officers were elected to represent  KWVA Chapter 189.  Both the Florida State and National KWVA organization have been notificed of this selection.  We will be swearing in the new officers at the Holiday Meeting.  I would like to take this opportunity, on behaf of the outgoing officers, that we are proud of the new staff and we wish them well.
  • The current version of the "Kimchi Kourier", our Chapters newsletter, can be accessed by going to the upper left hand corner of the Website's home page and clicking on the "189 Newsletter" box.
  • During the past several months the Chapter has been presenting the "Tell America" Program to a number of organizations. If you know an organization that might want to learn about the history of the Korean War please contact Bob McGuire at we would be pleased to set up a presentation.
